2023/24 Placemaking Grant: Business-Led

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The next section below titled "Confirmation of Eligibility" of the application form is designed to help you, and us, understand if you are eligible for this grant.

Applicant eligibility

The applicant to be considered eligible for funding, it should:

• I have a project idea that may require funding 
• I'm able to demonstrate compliance with relevant laws, trading requirements and standards
• the business entity is based in Port Hedland local government area
• I have not received Town of Port Hedland funding within the current financial year

Project eligibility

For a project to be considered eligible for funding, it should:

• is designed to engage the local community and activate spaces, including ground floor tenancies and streetscapes
• can demonstrate alignment to economic development or enhanced quality of place
• create an inclusive and accessible space to encourage increased patronage and visitors to the space
• enhance the aesthetic appeal of a publicly accessible space, including streetscapes
• encourage more people to visit, invest, live, work, play and spend time in a place
• be able to be delivered to a high standard within 12 months of date of approval
• aligns with the Town of Port Hedland’s strategic priorities, projects, and objectives
• does not have any overdue or outstanding debts to Council, including unacquitted grant funding
